Create a New Work Order

What you’ll need to know before creating a work order:

  • Vendor Name
  • Work Order Subject
  • Description
  • Due Date
  • Status
  • Priority
  • Assignees
  • Related Property

What is a Work Order?

In DoorLoop, a Work Order is a task or a job for a customer, that can be scheduled or assigned to a Vendor. Such an order may be from a customer request or created internally within the property management company. Work Orders may also be created as follow -ups to inspections or building repairs.

Adding a New Work Order

  1. From the main menu, select Tasks > My Tasks.

  2. From the available tabs, click on Tasks and then New Work Order.

  3. Complete the Work Order fields.

  4. If you have Permission to Enter information, toggle the switch to on and enter:

  • Entry Contact
  • Entry Notes
  1. If this has been Approved by the Owner, toggle the switch to on.

  2. Switch the Parts and Labor toggle to on in order to display the following fields which are used to log associated costs:

  • Quantity
  • Price
  • Expense Account
  • Memo
  1. Add additional expenses by clicking on + Add Line Item

  2. If applicable, add a photo of the Vendor and click Save once complete
